We met with Evan's doctor today for his routine
bi-annual check up and Evan once again received
an excellent report. Words cannot express how
thankful I am that Evan continues to be in good health.
We just celebrated our second wedding anniversary and it
is hard to believe all that we have experienced together
in a rather short amount of time. Or maybe it is harder
to believe how much we've grown together as a couple.
I can't wait to see where our journey takes us next. Evan
often says "I love our little life." Today, I am reminded
that our life is anything but little. I love our big life.
A note about the balloons: A while back I started a
tradition of surprising Evan with balloons at each
six-month milestone - one balloon for each month
he has been in remission. Well, it has been 32 months
now and I can't tell you how happy it makes me that
I can barely fit all of the balloons in my car!
Thank you to everyone for continuing to keep
Evan and our family in your thoughts and prayers.
Added note from Evan: While I thank my beautiful
wife for the great balloons (and keeping me healthy
for the past 32 months), last year I posed to her the
obvious question of what she had planned to do with
the balloons had I received bad news. Without hesitation,
she stated that she was prepared to give them to the
neighbor kids! It's certainly her love (and a touch of helium)
that keeps my spirits lifted. Thanks again to everyone
who thinks about us.
